1. NCC celebrates 75th yr of Independence on the theme 'Azadi Ka Amrut' by org various SSCD activities throughout the yr pan India. On the occasion of JALIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE remembrance day a mega swachtha event is being organised pan India at 75 locs on 13 Apr 21.
2. To inculcate sense of patriotism, create awareness of India's freedom struggle & social services to the community a mega event is being organised on the eve under the aegis of NCC GP HQ KOL B.
3. Venue - Netaji Bhawan, Elgin Rd - Netaji Rd & Bhagat Singh Park in Kolkata.
4. Historical significance. The Bhawan located at Elgin Road in Kolkata was originally the town house of Shri JN Bose, father of Subash Chandra Bose. He was kept under house arrest during freedom struggle by the British & stayed prior to his escape from Kolkata to Gomoh. Its a historic place of immense significance connected with the freedom movement & struggle of India. It has been converted into museum - 'Netaji Subash Bureau' housed with various artifacts and memorablia & dedicated to the great freedom fighter and reminicences of his contribution to the nation. The museum gives a rich patriotic feelings, gives unforgettable & chilling emotions related to the freedom movement of India.
5. Theme. Theme for the occasion are : -
(a) Freedom Struggle.
(b) Say 'NO to Plastics '.
6. Activities. The u/m activities are sch to be org/carried out : -
(a) Plog Run - Netaji Bhawan - Netaji Rd - Bhagat Singh Park.
(b) Patriotic Song.
